Overview – what we are looking for:

The Informatics Nurse Specialist works to provide consistent and quality account management, training and technical support to health care practitioners (HCPs), REMS enrolment training for health care facilities (HCFs) and clients for the LabWatch program. The Informatics Nurse Specialist will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to perform tasks necessary for lab compliance management for patients on high-risk therapies along with REMS training of HCFs and audit support. Some light travel may be required for professional development, client meetings, and on-site support, as needed.

About the role- what you’ll do:

LabWatch support: 

  • Provide enrollment and operational support for users engaging with the LabWatch platform.
  • Engage with client, HCPs and practice staff in person and over the phone, as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor designated client management software.
  • Read and understand pathology laboratory results to ensure HCPs are notified appropriately.
  • Provide education and training to client and HCPs individually, as well as in group settings.
  • Apply product and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Provide technical support to external platform users.
  • Participate in on-call support.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, product, management, quality, and development teams to resolve customer concerns.
  • Provide timely documentation and communication on issues and account support.
  • Provide recommendations to improve user satisfaction and increase efficiency.

Lab compliance management:

  • Process incoming forms for data accuracy and integrity and resolve issues.
  • Process incoming pathology results, and triage and investigate incomplete results.
  • Communicate the need for recollection of laboratory tests with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prompt investigation of missing results as needed by external team members.
  • Accurately matching unmatched patient results.
  • Prepare reports and facilitate communication surrounding lab non-compliance, as needed for involved stakeholders.
  • Process and report vendor complaints.
  • Maintain Central Lab Account Numbers.
  • Participate in group calls to provide ongoing insight into the daily tasks and processes of maintaining patient laboratory compliance, as well as suggestions for process improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (i.e. product, management, quality, and development) to resolve customer concerns and in management of lab monitoring.
  • Provide timely documentation and communication on issues that include account, vendor management, and lab monitoring support including steps taken towards resolution, and capturing data required for performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to research issues, communicate progress and facilitate issue resolution and communication.
  • Liaise between various internal and external stakeholders to pursue problems end to end until resolution.
  • Act as the point of contact for vendor and customer queries.
  • Ensure timely and thorough investigation and resolution to deviations.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management and client as required.
  • Ensures that good customer relations and seamless turnaround in problem resolution are maintained.
  • Ensures that issues are resolved professionally and effectively.

 Additional Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Identify, schedule and prioritize required REMS HCF trainings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of trainings.
  • Provide audit guidance and support to HCFs as required.

About you – what we are looking for:

  • Degree required, Bachelor’s Preferred
  • Must be a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a healthcare related role with exposure to HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience with application support, preferably in a healthcare related setting.
  • Extensive experience with patient management systems.
  • Ability to engage and educate Health Care provider
